The EPD Trends & Distributions Report contains information on the breed average EPD's for each of the eleven reported traits (birth, calving ease-direct, calving ease-maternal, weaning, yearling, scrotal, milk, milk & growth, scan fat, scan ribeye and scan intramuscular fat) through the Spring 2008 North American Hereford Genetic Analysis. Additionally, this report contains a listing of the EPD distributions of active sires, active dams and 2006-2007 born calves broken down by percentile rankings for each of the EPD traits.

There are four different trait leader reports available below that provide the top 200 animals of specific classes or types in the Hereford breed based on the $Profit Indexes which use multiple EPD criteria in their calculation. An explanation can be found within each of the reports.

Utilizing the AHA web site to look up EPDs allows breeders to efficiently research and sort this performance information for their future breeding decisions. The EPD lookup utilities and animal search features found in this website used in conjunction with the following report files that are offered can provide you many useful tools for making comparative decisions when evaluating your herd or making a decision on which animals to use in upcoming breeding seasons.

All of these reports can be downloaded for free from this website. The files that you download can then be printed at your home or office or distributed to potential customers, etc. We do have this information available in hard copy form, which can be sent to you upon request for a nominal charge. Below the link for each of the following reports, we have provided you with the page count and the electronic file size of the report. Due to the size of some of these files, it could possibly take several minutes for some of these reports to be downloaded to your computer if you are accessing the internet on a typical dial-up modem. Additionally, you will need a copy of the Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print these reports. If you do not currently have a copy of the Acrobat Reader, we have provided you with a link at the bottom of this page where you can download the program "free of charge".
