Gold TPR Breeders announced

Established in 2005, the Gold TPR™ (Total Performance Records) Breeder recognition is presented to progressive Hereford breeders who have measured traits and collected and promptly submitted performance data at all levels of production including calving, weaning weight, yearling weight, scrotal circumference and carcass.

Fall 2009 data online

The fall 2009 Hereford expected progeny differences (EPDs) were released in late July. The new run includes the U.S. and Canadian data as well as data from Uruguay and Argentina. This Pan-American Cattle Evaluation is the first combined genetic evaluation between continents. Visit to search new data.

Annual Meeting is approaching

The 2009 American Hereford Associaiton (AHA) Annual Membership Meeting will be Monday, Nov. 2, at the Hilton President Kansas City. National Junior Hereford Associaiton (NJHA) staff recently started an NJHA Fan Page on Facebook and invite you to become a fan today. HYFA Scholarship Deadline is Sept. 1

Applications for Hereford Youth Foundation of America (HYFA) scholarships are due Sept. 1. Scholarships will be awarded to NJHA members to assist in financing their college educations. These scholarships are made possible by Bill and Jo Ellard, EE Ranches Inc.; Bob and Dolores Call, CBY Polled Herefords; Lloyd Whitehead, Whitehead Ranches; Bob Kube, Fauquier Farms; CK Ranch; the Blin family and Randy and Kelly Owen, Tennessee River Music Inc.
