Hereford Females Soar to the Top at Big East Regional and Jackpot Show

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Junior exhibitors traveled to W. Springfield, Mass., on May 1 for the Big East Regional Heifer and Jackpot Show. The Hereford breed was competitive at the weekend show as the champion Hereford female was also named reserve supreme female.

Dave Sutherly, New Carlisle, Ohio, evaluated the 43 head of Hereford cattle and Dave Guyer, Robinson, Ill., judged the jackpot show. The event, hosted by the New England Hereford Association, awarded $5,000 in cash and prizes to winners.
The 70th Annual NEHA Spring Select Sale was held in conjunction with the show. Outside of the ring exhibitors participated in pizza and ice cream socials, fundraising auctions and annual banquet.
