Hoffman/W4 Donates Embryo Package to Benefit Hereford Youth

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — For the first time ever, the 2010 Foundation Female that will sell as Lot 1 in the Mile High Night Sale, Jan. 14 during the National Western Stock Show, will be offered as an embryo package. Forty grade 1 embryos from Hoffman Ranch LLC and Hoffman/W4 LLC’s elite donor program will be offered for sale. All proceeds from the sale will go to the Hereford Youth Foundation of America (HYFA) $5 million capital endowment campaign.

Hoffman Ranch, Thedford, Neb., is home to numerous national champions that are leaving their mark in the Hereford industry. These champions have left the showring to become donor dams and popular herd sires that are being sought out by seedstock and commercial producers alike. At Hoffmans the focus is on the maternal side of the herd bulls used to create hardworking cow families who are fault free and low maintenance – so put these genetics to work in your herd and achieve new levels of excellence.
Hoffmans have seen much success in the junior Hereford program and want to take this opportunity to give back and ensure a positive future for the breed. Money generated through the sale of this once in a lifetime embryo opportunity will be used to fund scholarships, education and leadership programs and one of the largest junior beef breed events in the world – the Junior National Hereford Expo.
All embryos will be produced in Hoffman/W4’s new state of the art embryo center in Thedford, Neb.
Visit Hereford.org/content/hyfa-foundation-female for more information on the embryos and the terms and conditions of the sale or contact Amy Cowan at acowan@hereford.org or 816-842-3757.
